UNI/TS 11567:2024

This technical specification defines a qualification scheme for all organizations operating within the biomethane production chain for traceability purposes as defined by the relevant European and national legislative framework. It is applicable both to the individual organization and for group qualifications always in line with the relevant legislation. The technical specification also provides specific biomethane sustainability values as well as related calculation methodologies and requires that the values and methodologies are managed by the organization in order to ensure compliance with the principles defined by the relevant European and national legislative framework, ensuring traceability and transparency. Compared to the previous version, this document has been updated to current legislative provisions and in particular: - legislative references have been updated; - the methodology for calculating greenhouse gas emissions has been updated; - standard emission values and relevant greenhouse gas savings for transports have been updated; - standard emission values and relevant greenhouse gas savings for other uses than transports as defined by the legislature have been introduced; - standard emission values and relevant greenhouse gas savings for liquefied biomethane have been updated; - average feedstock yields have been updated; - requirements for off-gas measurement of the upgrading phase have been updated; - methods for verifying digestate storage capacity were defined.
